"Cultivate optimism by committing yourself to a cause, a plan or a value system. You'll feel that you are growing in a meaningful direction which will help you rise above day-to-day setbacks."— Dr. Robert Conroy
I have spent most of this week struggling with feeling tired, frustrated & stressed & wondering why. Whilst dwelling on how everyone else was responsible for my feeling this way I had a revelation......
'nobody can make me feel, do or say anything. I choose my attitude & my response to my life, my world & others..... more than this .... my attitude sets the mood in my house & my family!!'
Since coming to this realisation I have been making a conscious effort to 'Choose to have a positive attitude & focus on the good things in my life'.... Amazing to see how my week & my household has begun to turn around when I began to accept responsibility for my own behaviour & make a choice to change...... We reap what we sow and we set the tone in our own worlds!
"Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious ... think about these things."
— Philippians 4:8
I am finding taking control over my attitude & focusing on the blessings in my life a truly empowering experience..... Try it & see......
Til next time be encouraged & be blessed xoxoxo

Busy, busy busy.... It has been a number of days since my last blog & phew I have finally made it back!
Baby with bronchialitis, Master 19yrs struggling with life's pressures, Miss 18yrs birthday celebrations (yes my baby is 18.... OMG), Miss 13 & Miss 11 back to school, house hunting (Oh dear I can't believe we have to move again!!), mother needing my support & partner stirring me up (he thinks he's humourous!) Currently running the mum race feeling slightly exhausted.... & yes I've shed a few tears again! I sound like a whining woman don't I? I do adore my family & love my life.. I really do :)
Sometimes I just need to take the time to reflect on how precious it all is & stand still for a momment to appreciate I would not have it any other way!!! To enjoy the little momments.... Master 11wks gooing & trying to talk to me or just gazing into my eyes... mmmm... or when Miss 11yrs says 'I love you mummy, I'm going to live with you forever.... They just grow up so quickly.....
Seek the calm in the midst of the storm..... peace is there for those who seek her :)
Til next blog, God Bless xoxoxoxoxoxo

Projectile Puke, school holidays with children demanding my attention, egocentric teenagers, emotionally over wrought mother, frustrated irritable partner & the icing on the cake a 10wk old baby coming down with broncialitis! ENOUGH ALREADY!
Lets just say by 3.30pm I was wholed up in my bedroom, tears rolling down my face... breastfeeding. Time for a little positive self talk before I completely landslide into a whirlpool of self pity.... Suck it up princess!!!!!!!
'A wise woman builds her house, A foolish woman tears hers down with her own hands'
Proverbs 14: 1
Come on Tiffani- Pick yourself dust yourself off & march on.... You can do this!!

Have you noticed when teenagers are out and about or want some space they can be quite difficult to get a hold of & tend to not answer our calls? Have you also noticed this rule flies out the window when it is us who would like a little time out???
Friday was to be 'ME DAY'...... My lovely man was taking me out for the day so we could have a little quality time together (accompanied by Master 10wk old of course) .... Quality time is a fairly infrequent occurence in our world!
Low & behold it appeared my daughters Miss 18 & Miss 13 had us on speed dial... "Mum I'm bored"..... "Mum how long will you be?"..... "Mum I want to cook brownies but don't know how"..... "Mum how long will you be, I want to play with the baby".... & on & on it went..... we were pushed to squeeze in our qualitly time between the calls!
I guess we should simply be thankful when we do go out we are missed & thank God our children still want to know us!
Gotta love kids :) xxx

With this in mind I thought I would share some thoughts & quotes to ponder with regards to happiness:
- 'There is only one happiness in this life; to love & be loved.' George Sands
- 'Happiness is not a life without problems but the ability to deal with them.
- It isn't what we have, who we are, where we are or what we are doing that makes us happy or unhappy it is what we are thinking about.' Dale Carnegie
What wonderful poignant quotes and keys to successful living. There are 2 aspects to happiness. Happiness in our own world & bringing happiness to someone elses world.
Today with this in mind I will actively love my family, show someone an act of kindness, smile at a stranger & contact someone I haven't spoken to in a while. I also intend to deal with problems as they arise & dwell on positive thoughts.
The ultimate goal to apply all these life secrets to daily life.... Lets see how I go!?!
